Ok... here’s
my 1st try at designing a website. I’ve never done one before, so be kind. :)
I must confess that I wasn’t even sure what a domain/sub domain was, or gigabyte/megabyte.
And what exactly is "band width"? (I'm still am confused.)
And of course a pixel has nothing to do with the "pixies" above, but I liked the graphic.
Ayway, I had a LOT of fun doing it!
For any old friends who (I hope) might find me, it sure would be great to hear from
you.
(And great to meet some new friends, too.)
There are a lot of things to see, do, listen, learn, and visit.
And lots of great links. FREE PRAYER and counseling, too.
Take your time. Come back often.
And please be sure to sign the guestbook or send an email at the bottom of page.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope to hear from you soon!
The Lord is on the move! (Look up, for your redemption draws near.)
Are you ready?

ABOUT MY FAMILY & ME:
Simply, I am God's child & He's my Tender Father. My life is all about the Lord,
I am merely His instrument & I strive to be a vessel fit for His use.
My name is Karen but you can call me 'Song'. As you can tell by my user name, (songweaver4Him),
I am a songwriter for the Lord. My desire is to be closer to Jesus♥
my Lord and Savior, even more so as His-Day-of-Returning draws nigh. I am wholly convinced we are in the End Times. Are we
ready? Return to your first Love! The "birth pains" have begun. I want to be found ready with Oil (Holy Spirit)
full. How about you? Help us, Lord”. God has been faithful to me & I am so grateful for His tender sacrifice
& steadfast love for me. Though I was raised a Christian, I truly dedicated my life to Jesus) 30 yrs
ago in Calif as a flower child / hippie during the Jesus♥ Movement. (Calvary Chapel, Vineyard, &
Gospel Outreach.) Been writing songs since I was about 8 yrs old. (Still can recall 2 or 3
from back then.) :) One of my greatest joys is to sing
to Him (praise & worship), or about Him. I am persuaded that God made music
/ musicians to minister & bless Him, to teach, edify, & to draw His children closer to Himself. I also believe that He uses music
to speak to His children. (Music was not given to us only to entertain, & tickle our ears.) I'm pretty easy
going, down-to-earth, & must confess that I'm still an idealistic, peace-loving, hippie at heart--and
wish I could get back to the country. :) (Though now I try to live a life pleasing to our Holy Lord.) I am
content with the simple things of life & believe we must "choose the better part", whether
in personal relationships or our relationship with the Lord. (Setting priorities in what really matters, as in:
Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus♥ while Martha--though meaning well--was attending to the bustle. The "bustle"
will always be there.) I have walked with the Lord a long time now & have learned much, as I have surely been
tried & refined by the fire. But God still has much to perfect in me. At times, when I think I stand, I find myself
a frightened little girl, coming up under the Father's wing. (Which seems to be fairly often these days.) :)
I was born in small town in Ohio. (Although left when I was of age & moved to CA
for many yrs--via Texas & New Mexico for a couple yrs.) Dad & Mom had 5 kids.
(They were married for 57 years before my dear mother's passing.) My mom was an at-home mom, & taught me to sing
harmonies at a very early age, as her daddy did her. And she taught me the old songs as well. I am extremely grateful for such a precious musical & Christian heritage, even more so as time goes by.
My parents were always good people--we kids were blessed with a decent upbringing. (Though just being good won't
save you--only Jesus♥ can.) When I was a 'tween, Mom personally met Jesus♥ when the Holy
Spirit fell upon her & she could barely walk! She had to be helped to the altar! From that moment on, she
was in love with Jesus, and though she was always sweet, we could see His sweet, strong presence glow from her
like a beacon. Though my dad's dad (grandpa) was a pastor & my dad went to church with Mom 3x's a wk on a
regular basis, Dad didn't fully dedicate his life to Jesus♥ until his fifties. (But you can sure see Jesus♥
shine from him now!) My oldest brother Chris, was tragically killed in a car accident (in his early 30's), leaving behind
a wife & 2 daughters. Within 18 mths, my younger (and only) sister Shelley, (early 20's) died of a sudden
brain aneurism caused by an unknown brain tumor. She left behind 2 baby girls, one was a newborn. Though it's been many
years, I still miss them greaty. We were (& still are) a close family & were totally devastated by these
tragic events. Mom was a gentle soul, who loved the Lord with a fully-trusting intimate love. Though two
precious parts of our hearts were torn from our family in such a short period of time, amazingly, you could still see the
sweet steady Presence of God shining from Mom. Her heart was broken, yes, & she (& Dad) mourned
deeply, but she didn't hesitate to give God the glory for her standing strength as she suffered the loss of her children.
Mom unexpectedly passed away a few yrs ago & I miss her & her sweet smile tremendously. She was
my best friend & my main spiritual (& emotional) support. After that, Dad sold the family home
we all grew up in (big sigh), and answered the Lord's call, (hooray) by moving near a Veteran's Home some 5 hrs away (sigh
again). He keeps very busy ministering there. He not only helps "wheelchair" them around, & whatever he can find
for his hand to do (was a medic in the Navy), but he also plays harmonica (hymns) & ministers to them. He also
ministers at two nursing homes, in addition to the Vet's Home. (Mom & he had a nursing home(s) ministry for
a # of years, before she passed.) God has healed Dad of: a heart attack, cancer, and a stroke. Oh, did I mention? My
dad just turned 81 in April (‘08)! I'm really proud of Dad that
he's still pressing on to The Call. My brother Chuck (soft-hearted, & a couple yrs younger than me) is a missionary to Belize--although they are in OH as of now--married a beautiful Belizean lady
with a sweet, smiley son. My youngest brother, Dave, (integrity & wisdom) was recently married to a lovely, sweet
Christian teacher with 3 darling kids. He goes on mission trips yearly & they just got back from an orphanage in Brazil. He also just got accepted into at PhD program at a
Christian University back East. And I have many wonderful nieces and nephews...
And me? I have two grown children
& two grandchildren (precious, precious), one, whom I raise alone. Through the yrs I've often been a worship leader
& had a music ministry. But many yrs ago B.C. (before Christ) I was a professional musician, & did radio
jingles & played music at coffee shops, clubs, bars, etc., as I was going to college. (Folk, folk-rock, country-rock,
bluegrass, rock, & pop.) But I got saved, thank you Lord, & now all my songs are for my sweet Jesus♥. My
interests are anything creative, artistic, or musical. I love gardening, the outdoors, & the actual smell of the
soil. (Well, we did come from the dust of the earth.) Other interests are: singing, the arts,
museums, antiques, auctions, traveling, & exploring back roads. I just started Tai Chi classes &
love it. It's so beautiful, like dance. I tend to be nurturing, tenderhearted, & have a heart for the lost
& hurting, having been thru a great deal myself. Though I am firmly conservative, I wear my heart on my sleeve.
(Actually not just my sleeve, but I wear a whole outfit of "heart". J A sense
of humor is very important to me, & I hope to meet a mate who can make me laugh as deeply as I love. I also
write books & have just finished "Book I" of my Christian allegorical (fantasy) novel, "The Mystery of
the Pearl”, & have started the sequel (Book II),“The Master's Vials". Have also written children's
books. Though the Lord primarily gives me Christian songs for which to minister, I have a Vietnam memorial ballad published
in the US Congressional Record, among other publications, & was submitted
into the Library of Congress. (To GOD be any glory, Who teaches my hand to "write' .)
When I was married, I was an at-home mom. But now, I work at a counseling, warmline (crisis type), &
although it's secular, God has opened many doors to minister the good news of Jesus♥. I consider it a ministry, &
have seen some get saved. I'm very evangelical & view all of life as a mission field. (Update:
My job has just ended due to lack of funding. Pray I find work. I have some physical limitations (back).
(I am still counseling on a volunteer basis as a ministry.) As to my divorce, I know God hates divorce, but I did not instigate
it. And although I am, my marriage of many yrs did end on Biblical grounds. I've been divorced for about 5-6 yrs
now. It was difficult--& still is, being single while raising my granddaughter alone--a blessing! But I trust I will come
out of it purified, humbled, & more like Jesus♥ as I submit to Him daily. I hope someday God will lead to me
a mate who is in love with & fully committed to Jesus♥. I only want God’s choice. I wait for a man who
desires to lay aside the sin that so easily besets, & wants to press on to The Call. Possibly interested in ministry
or missions. I'm waiting for my beloved, my best friend. Someone tenderhearted, kind, ¬ easily angered. Someone I can
trust with my deepest heart &one who will hide his heart in mine. A man who will honor &cherish his lady
& will love her as Jesus♥, who gave His life for His bride. A man of humility, who has learned that true
leadership is servanthood, (Jesus washed His disciple's feet as the example.) And someone who knows that there’s nothing
as strong as gentleness. Someone who has been sweetened by the winnowing cross of Jesus♥.
PLEASE! DON'T MISS

PERSONAL FAVORITES:
Favorite Band or Musician: Being a musician, I've
loved (most) music. But since I've come to know Jesus, I try to ingest (surround myself with) Christian music. (Whatever we
feed will grow, whether to the spirit or to our carnal nature.) Hey, I don't know about you, but in the world today, I need all the spiritual help I
can get :) I lean strongly toward worship music,
or contemporary Christian. I love Hillsong, Integrity, Vineyard, Celtic Worship, Bluegrass gospel, Classical... Still love the old music too, like Keith Green.
Favorite Movies:“THE LORD OF THE RINGS” (MY ALL-TIME FAV,
movies and books.) Chronicles of Narnia, Wizard of Oz,
Anne of Green Gables, Ten Commandments, Gone With The Wind, Electric Grandmother, It's a Wonderful Life, Sgt York, O'Henry's,
Somewhere in Time…
I won’t
watch "R" rated movies.

will set no wicked thing before mine eyes”)

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain; If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool
one pain, Or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain.
